A Coven, --- Obvious Pros & Cons...

Part of me likes the idea of belonging to a coven... Years ago I read a series of novels, called "The Circle Of Five," by Dolores Riccio. I enjoyed them thoroughly!!! The Circle Of Five was composed of five very different witches and their unique and very special friendship as "sisters" was super. >>> BUT, there are some very glaring aspects of belonging to a coven that I don't like:WHO has TIME for this anymore???= the planning ritals for the observances of the 8 holidays or sabbats, the monthly esbats or full moon observances, the writing of rituals, the deciding and preparing of the foods that will be served afterwards as "cakes & ale". These occassions would be celebrated at various members homes. Also, --- choosing the high priest or priestess. I's been my experience that whenever a case of leadership is in question there are always those who REALLY WANT to lead, --- gag!!! Ummm, too, --- witches have strong personalities, how to handle this in a group setting and maintain peace? Then, there's the structure of the coven, --- what will membership in it entail and require? >>> My likes of a coven would be the friendship and sense of magickal connection (ideally). Also, the chance to discuss magick. And, let's not forget (hopefully) THE WITCHY FUN!!!
